The 2024 Derby Auction
The catalogues for the 34th Derby Auction, which traditionally takes place at the Berlin-Mariendorf trotting track, have been sent out. For all those who still need a catalogue, we have of course again this year supplied many tracks in Germany and abroad with catalogues, which are available to you there free of charge.
If you haven’t ordered a catalogue and don’t want to wait until your next visit to the railway, we offer you — as in previous years — the opportunity to browse through the digital version of the catalogue. INFORMATION ON THE ONLINE AUCTION
In 2023, in cooperation with ClipMyHorse, you will again have the opportunity to purchase your yearling live at the online auction. You will find all information in the catalogue and in the following description.
Step 1: REGISTER
Visit us at: www.equine-marketing.de
Click on “Register” in the menu to register. On the secure page you can enter your personal details and then click on the “Register now” button. You will then receive a confirmation email.
Step 2: VERIFICATION
After registering, your account needs to be verified. To do this, send us a copy of your valid identity card — verification can then take up to two days. Once your account has been verified, you will receive an email to create your username and password. We reserve the right to send you a deposit request to prevent possible abuse. The amount of the deposit is 2.000,00 Euro, the starting bid of each yearling. After receipt of the deposit, we will then activate you for the bidding procedure. Any knockdowns at the auction will be offset against this amount. If you do not bid for a yearling, the amount will be returned to you immediately after the auction.
Step 3: ONLINE BIDDING
On the day of the auction you can log in to the website. Once you are logged in, you can use the “Live Auction” button, which will be activated two hours before the auction starts. We recommend that you log in in good time and before the auction starts.
For an optimal experience, we recommend that you use the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browser. You can download these for free via the links. We also recommend that bidders use a stable internet connection. If you do not have a strong internet connection, you risk your bids being delayed by slow connections.
On auction day, log in with your username and password and click the “Go to live auction” button. Once logged in, you will be automatically redirected to the bidding menu where you can watch the auction LIVE and bid online.
Before you can bid, you must first activate the “Bid” button. This is necessary to exclude accidental bidding. After activating the “Bid” button, you can bid in the auction with a single click on the “Bid” button. No confirmation of your bid is required. During the auction, you should be reachable at the telephone number provided.
The bidding screen will indicate whether your bid has been accepted and whether you are the highest bidder. A bid placed is unconditional, irrevocable and without any reservation.
Step 4: YOU ARE THE HIGHEST BIDDER
If you are the winning bidder, you will receive a confirmation email. You will be contacted after the auction.
